Most of beginner blogger dreaming about a lot of people subscribed to their feedburner. Just see what Darren Rowse got, more than 120,000 people subscribed to his feedburner feed. And a beginner blogger like me wants to get a higher number of subscribers too. So, in this post we will discuss about anything that can helps blogger to increase the number of subscribers.
Why subscribers are important for blogger?
First, your blog is looks more qualified. A blog with a high number of subscribers will be more trusted than a blog with just a few subscribers, even they have a same content.
Second, a high number of subscribers will attract advertiser to do a business with you. Yes, more subscribers means more eyeballs who read your post, and advertiser don't want miss a chance to get their product promoted.
Third, subscribers bring extra traffic. Your blog is good in SEO, and that will bring a targeted traffic. But, with a high number of subscribers you will get more traffic. 80% of subscribers will visit your blog for new post, and imagine that you have 100,000 of subscribers.
How to get more subscribers for beginner blogger?
There are many tips that give us info about increasing the number of subscribers, but most of them are for intermediate bloggers. In this section, I will give you my tips to increase the number of subscribers (just for beginner). So, let's begin!
1. Don't show your feedcount
If you run a new blog, then this prohibited because of your number of subscribers. People don't subscribe for a blog that doesn't have many subscribers . This is closely related to the first reason why subscribers are important. Don't show your feedcount until you reached 100 subscribers.
2. Show your best post at the homepage
The reason is simple, this will attract new visitor to subscribe to your feed. You could do this in a few methods, such as using popular post widget or just putting a link to your best posts.
3. Bring extra traffic
Subscribers give you extra traffic, and to make this happen, you must bring extra traffic too. Commenting on other blogs is such a good idea. Remember to give good comments and do not spam, because comment is reflect yourself as a blogger.
4. Build friendship with other bloggers
For every blog that you've visited, contact the blogger. Ask them to subscribe to your feed and vice versa. But how about your inbox that full with update emails? To solve this problem you can create a new email account to subscribe to other's feed.
5. Place your subscription box at the bottom of post
This is important for they who got a medium traffic. After visitor reads your post, they will interested but a little bit hard to find the subscription box. Place an extra box at the bottom of the post and you will help them a lot.
Those tips are originally made by me. Do this for every new blog of yours and the number of subscribers will grow slowly but sure.

Great tips on building subscribers. I definitely agree with the friendship with other bloggers. Most of the time I just have conversations with some people via forums and they're kind enough to visit my blog and subscribe. I wish I could attest to being a blogger that remembered to do this myself, lol, but I usually forget to check out signatures just because it's usually a promotion for a product someone's selling.

I was wonder about number 1. You said there that don't show your feedcount until you reached 100 subscribers and then you show yours that only had 50+ subscribers.
@Mark : That's true, but this blog is just a beginner's blog so I think 50 is good number for beginner like me. Honestly, I'm not a problogger, I'm just a beginner who want to be a pro. So, I'm sorry if I don't practice what I told you.

There's a word that still rings true for bribing people to do something you want them to do....give them something of value for FREE.
It's always easier to get something...when you give something first.
Try it, and see if your subscriber number goes up.
The fatal mistake for beginners often display the feed count on their pages. Not aware of this influence psychologically discourage the reader to follow.
